Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

RIP Lucy

Lucy was born on the 28th April 1999, her mother was a Yorkshire terrier and we believe her father was a Jack russell.

My parents bought her as a surprise when she was 4 months old, she was skinny and covered in fleas and didn't have the best temperament, but once she was used to you and you used to her quirks she was a brilliant but feisty little dog.

At 6 months onwards she had to get both of her back legs pinned (can't remember the reason other then she used to hop on her legs instead of walking) and sprayed. Once she'd healed from all the operations she was a little firecracker out on walks she'd round rings around us.

We bought Tara (13 weeks old) when Lucy was 4 years old, and she soon become the boss and mother of her.

We had 10 happy years with her and she got about as we took her camping and caravanning with us every time we went, which was a couple times a year and a different place every time.We had 10 happy years with her and she got about as we took her camping and caravanning with us every time we went, which was a couple times a year and a different place every time.

Rest in peace Kaiser.

Kaiser was put to sleep on the 4th August 2015.

He'd been in and out of the vets for months suffering with blood In his urine, they put him 3 courses of tablets, had a ultrasound, x-ray, bloods and urine sample sent off for testing and everything came back clear.

In the end they decided to open him up and have a look and they found an inoperable tumour. The vets told us it would be kinder to put him to sleep as there was nothing they could do for him.

Gone but never forgotten, Run free boy.
